Catherine graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston in 2005. She earned her undergraduate in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. During graduate school she had an internship at Bo's Place (a grief center for children and families) and remained a volunteer there for 6 years. Her second internship was at the Harris County Psychiatric Center (HCPC). After graduating, Catherine worked as a Student Support Specialist in the Katy Independent School District from 2005-2010. In 2010 she began working as a part-time home based family therapist for Triad Mental Health (MHMRA). MHMRA counselors provide in-home, family based counseling and therapy to youth and families identified with serious mental health issues. The TRIAD Mental Health program utilizes a family centered approach based on the needs of the family. The goal of the program is to maintain children and youth who are at-risk for out of home placement in a family setting by providing a broad range of individual and family services. In 2015 she began a part-time private practice.
